CUSTOM TOURS FOR VETERANS

It is our experience that most veterans want to return to the locations they are familiar with from their original tour of duty in Vietnam.  They want to linger awhile in these places and seek out familiar landmarks and even try to locate people they knew 27 to 37 years ago.  For this reason, most of our tours for veterans are custom tours for individuals, ex-military personnel and their families, or groups of veterans who shared experiences or unit assignments in Vietnam.  Our popular set group veterans' itineraries are not sufficient for their needs.  Therefore, most of the veterans we send back to Vietnam contact us with their requirements, and we design the exact tour they want to take.  Please call 317-281-3895 or e-mail to asia@nine-dragons.com, and we will begin the planning with you.

We can include most locations in Vietnam.  We know how to get to battle sites, unit locations, and a great many fire support bases and LZ's.  Do not expect, however, that most of these locations will look the same as they did during the war.  Most of the buildings we built are long gone, and the old bases are converted to agriculture or Vietnamese housing or have grown over with jungle.  You will find that the countryside looks very much the same as it did, even though the cities have grown and become more modern, especially Saigon.  Nevertheless, there will be familiar landmarks everywhere.

The staff at Nine Dragons Travel & Tours are foremost experts at veterans' travel back to Vietnam, and our partners in Vietnam are knowledgeable and experienced at taking veterans to the places they want to go.  Whether you are interested in I, II, III, or IV Corps, North Vietnam, the Delta, Central Highlands, Coastal Lowlands, cities or remote areas, we will get you anywhere safe, accessible, or permitted by the Vietnamese government.  There are very few places you cannot go.  We can show you the places you already are familiar with, and we can introduce you to a Vietnam you never knew.

Previously, we had over 70 listed veterans' itineraries to Vietnam.  We seldom followed any of those itineraries exactly.  For this reason, we now have two set group itineraries, which can also be customized for individuals or private groups.  Instead of numerous separate itineraries, we will create the one itinerary you really want.  We also offer veterans itineraries focused on the Australian, Korean, and French experience in Vietnam.  We will be happy to share these with you upon request.
